Walking hazards seem to be our biggest enemy for I960. There have been
five employees referred to doctors for medical attention to the ankles and
knees. One of them struck her foot against a chair as she was walking in the
alley. Two ladies turned their ankles while descending steps. No one can
be too conscious of safe conditions and working habits. A member of our
Safety Committee received a lacerated finger from the door of a metal cabi
net. A lathe operator struck his hand against a revolving grinder. Another
lot handler got a splinter under the finger-nail while handling a lot board.
