Vacationers from the Pointer in
elude Lena Snyder who, with her
husband, spent some time in the
mountains of North Carolina and
Virginia, and C. B. Owens who took
his family to Myrtle Beach to enjoy
the surf.

and Jerry Francis Webb who were
married in an evening ceremony on
Saturday, August 13, I960, at Poplar
Ridge Friends Meeting House. The
bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Millard C. Monroe of Route ^fl.
Trinity. The groom is the son of
Mr. and Mrs. Walter H. Webt and
is employed as order clerk in Plant #1.
After a wedding trip to Florida, they
are now at home at 403 Paul Drive,
High Point, N. C.
Congratulations to Steve Embler
who won the trophy for the best all
around player on the Little League
baseball team. Steve is the son of
Jean Embler, looper of Plant #1.
Jeannie Lee Messick became the
bride of Roger Dale Parrish on Fri
day, August 26, i960. The vows
were spoken at the Wesleyan Methodist
Church in Randle man. Jeannie is
employed in the Pairing Department
of Plant #1.

Mildred P. Briggs and George
P. Fogleman were married on Satur
day, July 23, i960, at the home of
the officiating minister, the Rev.
J. L. Pittard, pastor of Centenary
Methodist Church in Greensboro, N. C.
The couple will live at 1110 Bellevue
Street in Greensboro. Mildred is
employed in the Finishing Department
of the Pointer.
