- 13 - In lUeiiiuriani 1# Luther Morri son, retired em ployee of Adams- Millis Corporation, died at his home on August 8, i960. Although he had been in declining health for some time, his death was unexpected. Luther retired in December of 1955, after 44 years of service with the company, much of which time was served as porter for the Main Office. He was a member of the First Baptist Church on East Washington Street and served on its Board of Deacons from 1916 until his death. He was also a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge No. 2281. Survivors include his wife,Nealie, of the home, 200 North Street; and two foster daughters: Mrs. Louise Smith and Miss Zenobia Smith, both of Philadelphia, Pa. Mrs. Lillie Nealey Mother of Flossie Nealey and Frostie Graves, both of the Finishing De partment of Plant #1. Accident Report Now is the time to check every thing about your machine and work area for potential accidents. Only recently, a fluorescent light tube fell from the receptacle and cut a boarder's arm, requiring several stitches. Let's check every socket before another one falls. In Plant #4, a clipper was trans ferring her work from one side of her clipper to the other side. She reached her hand into an electric fan on her work bench and received a cut and bruise on her finger. Check your electric fan for safe position. Here's our old friend, "Cleaning Machine While In Motion. " We all know that this is in violation of safe practices. Gloves are being worn by our warehousemen, but only after one of them had to have stitches in his hand from a cut caused by steel bands on the yarn cases. Let's all take a good look at our job to see if everything is safe and, that we are following safe work habits. The only person who can prevent an accident is the person who causes it.
