PAUL SHOAF APPOINTED STYLIST Paul Shoaf has been appointed stylist for Adams-Millis Corporation, according to an announcement by J. H. Millis, president. Shoaf has beenwith Adams-Millis since 1949. A lifetime resident of Davidson County, Shoaf was first employed as a knitter in the consolidated knitting room on banner wrap machines. He also operated 176-needle spirals; he was operator of the first set of SCOP machines installed at Adams-Millis. From knitting, Shoaf was trans ferred to the Experimental Department where he computed yarn requirements, made cost estimates and worked in the production of samples. He has been assistant stylist since 1957. Shoaf graduated from Midway High School in Davidson County in 1944. He served in World War II with the Army where he was assigned to the 465th Anti-Aircraft Battalion in Germany. Paul Shoaf is married to the former Pauline Robbins of Thomas- ville; she is a former employee of the Finishing Department of Plant #7. They have three children: Robin Ann, Janie Paulette and Jimmy Neal. The Shoaf family lives in the Bethany Church Community in David son County where they are members of the Bethany United Church of Christ. Paul has served in several official capacities of his church, including superintendency of the Sunday School. He is also a member of the Piedmont Toastmasters Club in High Point. President James H. Millis and Mrs. Millis read the instructions for use of the "Electra-Susan" which was presented to them by the employees of the Main Office at their Christmas party. to a golden future! AC
