In the machine shop, Orest Hedgecock failed to use goggles while blowing off his lathe at the end of the day; a piece of steel was imbedded in his eye. You have seen on page 6 the account of Blanche Noles who failed to stop her machine for cleaning. Jack Mabe received burns on his legs while cleaning out the boiler; this was a lost-time injury. Fay Burgess, Plant #7 folder, stepped back and caught her heel under a truck load of lot boards.
