Ch*BiU( Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits. --(Psalm 103:2) The fall of the year, when the harvest is in, is the traditional time of thanksgiving. But God's mercies are bestowed throughout the year. Each of us has much to be thankful for every day of his life. A young father whose Saturday job consisted of caring for his active son while his wife shopped, hit upon an ingenious idea for amusing the young ster. Taking a pair of scissors, he cut apart a map of the world from his newspaper. Then, handing the pieces to the youngster, he said, "Go and put the world together. " With a sigh of relaxation, he settled back for what he expected would be a long nap. But, in a matter of minutes, the youngster was back with the entire map pasted together correctly. "How did you get it together so fast?" asked the father. "Easy, " replied the son. "There was a man's picture on the other side of the paper. When I had him together right, I turned over the paper and the world was right. " Here, in our plants, we know that a product or service that is put to gether correctly is that way because the people who made it are also "put together" correctly. Production is a chain and the efforts of one man inter lock with those of his neighbors. When all of us are using our skills and abilities, cutting waste, reducing costs, taking pride in the jobs we do, we're helping to sell customers and keep them sold. When that happens, our sales in crease, our jobs get stronger--there's more of the better things in life for us all.
