SAFETY AWARDS RECEIVED (Continued from page 1) Adams-Millis whose employees have accumulated an outstanding record of having worked more than two million man hours during a three-year span without a lost-time injury. Nancy Smith, safety committee member of Plant #7, received the ribbon indicating the third year of outstanding accident prevention by employees of the plant. A fifth-year plaque went to Plant #9 in Tryon. Although there were lost-time injuries in Plant #1 during I960, the plant qualified for a Certificate of Safety Achievement for having reduc ed its accident frequency twenty-five per cent over the previous year 1959. Commissioner Crane, in presenting the awards, pointed out the fact that the awards were not given; they were earned, earned by constant attention to eliminating accident hazards and safe working habits. Effective results have been noted in all Adams-Millis plants of the work of the safety committees which make -4-
