SPECIAL HONORS BLOOD DONORS Congratulations to the following graduates who were the recipients of special honors: Dale Rush Walker, son of Virginia Walker, pairer of Plant #7, was a member of the National Honor Society and recipient of the Hankin Scholar ship to Wake Forest College. Patti Howard, daughter of Fur man Howard of Plant #9, was chosen to receive a full tuition scholarship to Converse College in Spartanburg, S. C. , presented by Spartan Mills where her mother is employed. Patti achieved an outstanding record at Landrvun High School where she was president of the Student Council, a member of the Beta Club, a member of the Future Homemakers of America, a staff member of the school news paper and a cheerleader. During last fall's homecoming festivities, she was crowned Homecoming Queen. Ruth Ellen Hine, daughter of Ruth Hine of the Seaming Department of Plant #4, was a member of the Beta Club and the National Honor Society. She was also a Junior Marshal. Gilbert H. Hine, Jr. , son of Ruth Hine of the Seaming Department of Plant #4, was a member of the Beta Club and the Key Club. Dizie Sue Brady, daughter of You3a Brady of the Finishing Depart ment of the Pointer, was awarded a $25. 00 bond for being one of two win ners in an essay contest sponsored by the Twilight Civitan Club. The title of her essay was, "How to Prepare Youth for a More Effective Citizen ship.
