Lyman D. Golding, Jr. , who makes his home in Greensboro, N. C. , at the present time and who has been with Southern Die Casting and Engineer ing since October of I960, celebrated his th birthday on October 4. We sincerely hope that Lyman had a won derful birthday and will have many, many more Happy Returns. Birthday wishes are also in order for Ruth Weavil, general secretary and clerk for our company. Ruth has maintained this position with us since February of 1961. It is a known fact around here that Ruth's birthday this year was a most happy one as her boy friend, Keith Fine, was home from Turner Air Force Base where he was recently and most honorably discharg ed. Keith has now joined our fine organization and this makes for a "doubly-happy" situation for Ruth and Keith. Speaking of birthdays. . .David Taylor, Jr. , celebrated his birthday on October 7. David has served as purchasing agent for three months. He and his wife, Joanne, and their pretty little daughter, Pamela, now live in Thomasville. Prior to joining Southern Die, David was with Ser- vonics in Alexandria, Virginia, MAC-PANEL DIVISION NEWS Panel Plant Our sympathy to Carol Bradshaw- - her husband was drafted into service last month. Keep true, never be ashamed of doing right; decide on what you think is right, and stick to it. - -George Eliot Physical courage is something that we all admire. The man who can face danger without flinching, and en dure pain without complaining, makes us look up to and respect him. But there is another kind of bravery that is just as admirable as this, and that is moral courage. What do we mean by moral courage ? It is having the strength of character to do what you know is right in spite of all difficulties and obstacles. Usually it is only too easy to do wrong. Often you may be "made fun of" for standing by your principles and refusing to "follow the crowd" in something that you know is not right. But the very person who laughs at you cannot help but secretly admire you for your moral courage. When you know some course of action to be right, follow it in spite of everything. That is true moral courage. MAC Panel U. A. R esults Employees of the MAC Panel division of Adams-Millis contributed $6l6i83 to the 1961/62 United Appeal fund.
