relatives. They took along their bath ing suits, hoping to get a nice sun tan, but the cool dip in Florida's weather changed their plans. They also visited Cape Canaveral--Edsel, how was that trip to the moon? Carol Bradshaw had quite a few visitors during the holidays. . her husband from Ft. Jackson, S. C. , her mother and daddy from Detroit, Michigan, and her brother from Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri. Everyone at the Panel plant en joyed the holidays. Office The MAC Panel Company office and plants held their annual Christ mas party at the Elk's Club on Fri day evening, December 22. Over 80 employees and their guests attended. Fun, food and dancing were the order of the svening. Fun was supplied by everyone; food was prepared by the chef of the club; and music for danc ing was by Dave Carter's band (with a little help from Jim Simone on the piano at irregular intervals). . . Not one, but two awards should have been given to our champion twisters. Tommy Ward and Gail and Pat Griggs and Hoytt. A special award was in order for Jim Simone and his wife, Doris, for an exuberant display of Spanish dancing--And, there was Nancy Hoffman looking every bit as graceful as Kathryn Murray. Caught in the act of "table hopping" and en joying it, too, were Fran and Jim Greenway. The funny stories and jokes department was very amply taken care of by Bettie Robertson and hus band, Stuart, but we'11 never knowhow Ron Bundy was entertaining so secret ly the others at his table, Linda Pat terson and Jane Campbell. Admiring glances were cast (especially by the women) in Marianne Gekas' direction; the pleased expression may have been pride in that her lovely dress was of her own design and making. . . Found "batching" it for the evening were two brand new fathers, Mahlon Pendry and Don Creede, along with our regu lar bachelor, Fred Long. W^ire Plant From the wire plant comes this cute little bit of poetry. Unfortunately, the author wishes to remain anonymous. At our plant on Hamilton Street There're eighteen folks you should meet; They've all been there for quite some time Producing an important part of our line. Betsy Wood and K. Ozment Crimp our famous Ball-D-Tent, Then pass them on to Doris M. And Annie Hilliard and Myrtle Gwynn. Emalee Mullins, Jeanette Smith And Lois White work together with Geneva Robertson, Letha Dyson Preparing wires for final splicin'. Frances Robbins and Janice Slate Mold the different plugs we make. Then they're tested, one by one By Becky, you know, Bettington. While of jack-of-all Ed Ridge roams. Bob Marshall cavorts with Cletus Combs. James Phillips keeps automatically ahead Of the wire plant's boss, Felix Webb. (Two names were shortened to help the rhyme. We didn't intend, as is done some times. To hide their identity, as might some actress-- So "K" is for Katie and "M" -- Malactras. 12-
