ing important inroads'with big retail- ers--even against such titans as Esquire, Jockey and Interwoven. " Adams-Millis Corporation is proud of the success of the Hanes Red Label hosiery sales and is happy to be the main source of supply for Hanes- Millis. AMCO NEWS Is Given National Recognition Adams-Millis Corporation's AMCO NEWS received national recognition last week for its U. S, Savings Bonds Drive layout in the March issue. In a letter to industrial editors throughout the country, Mr. Robert Nightlinger, of the U. S. Savings Bonds Division of the Treasury Department, in describing the bond program as out lined in the publication, wrote as fol lows: "AMCO NEWS, published by and for employees of Adams-Millis Cor poration, High Point, N. C. , goes all out. President J. H. Millis set aside the week beginning March 26 as Pay roll Deduction Plan week! The full page gives the advantages of Payroll Savings--how easy it is done. The next page shows an application for Payroll Savings, and shows the em ployee how it should be filled out. We like their last line! " 'Go American! Invest in America through Savings Bonds.' " Notice In the June issue of AMCO NEWS, we will recognize Adams-Millis em ployees, their sons, daughters, hus bands and wives, who are graduating from high school and college this year. Please turn in the graduates' pictures to your supervisor or time keeper by June 11, 1962. A small, black and white print is preferable for this issue. - 5 - YOUR JOB Wherever you're working--in office or shop, And however far you may be from the top-- And though you may think you're just treading the mill Don't ever be-little the job that you fill, For however little your job may appear -- You're just as important as some little gear That meshes with others in some big machine That helps keep it going--though never is seen. They could do without you--we'11 have to admit - - But business keeps on, when the big fellows quit. And always remember, my lad, if you can. The Job's more important (Oh Yes) than the man. So if you hope to stay off the shelf. Think more of your job than you do of yourself. Your job is important--don't think it is not-- So try hard to give it the best that you've got. And don't ever think you're of little account-- Remember, you're part of the total amount. If they didn't need you, you wouldn't be there. So always, my lad, keep your chin in the air. A digger of ditches, mechanic, or clerk-- THINK WELL OF YOUR COMPANY, YOURSELF AND YOUR WORK. Author Unknown
