TWENTY FIVE YEARS OF SERVICE J. W. Snotherly Personnel Director June 14, 1937 Woollen Attends Detroit Meeting Jim Woollen, of Southern Die Casting and Engineering Company, attended the Society of Die Casting Engineers meeting in Devon Gables, just out of Detroit, Michigan, on June 5. Speaker for the meeting was Ron Chavey, of the Ternstedt Division of General Motors, who presented a pro gram on the training of supervisory die casting personnel. Sidelights of the trip included a visit to the J. A. Kozman Company and to the Ternstedt Division of Gen eral Motors, where die casting facili ties were observed, as well as a tour through the Chrysler Engine Assembly Plant. VACATION PAY DISTRIBUTED Vacation pay amounting to $57,723.20 will be paid to 1,289 employees of Adams-Millis on June 29. Sharing in the distribution of the vaca tion pay will be those employees who on April 1 of this year had completed one year, or more, of continuous service with the company. In order to receive the vacation pay, the year of continuous employ ment must have been completed prior to April 1 and the employee must have been on the payroll on April 1. More than half of the plant em ployees have been employed more than five years and will receive as vaca tion pay four per cent of their earn ings from October 1 of last year to April 1 of this year. Those employees with one to five years of continuous employment receive two per cent of their earnings for the same six- months period. Vacation pay is paid twice each year. In December, vaca tion pay is computed on earnings for the six-months period from April 1 to October 1.
