SOFTBALL TEAM CLOSES SEASON The softball team of Adams-Millis has just closed its season. Their record was not spectacular, but at least they had a lot of fun. Members of the team are, kneeling, left to right: Cyrus Dockery, Dennis Carter and Wayne Lewis. Standing, left to right, are Jerry Smith, Jerry Webb, Donnie Beck, Mickey Carter, Manager Leo Griffin, Bobby Stanley, Douglas Streetman and Wayne Frith. Not present when the picture was made were Monroe Pendry and Bobby Dills. nflRie Pi'Sh Seems like just ever'body's been away vacationin' recently, and guess it's kind o' hard to settle down to the old routine of workin' again. But, you know they always say the best part of goin' away is cornin' back home again-- and it's true, don't you think? Since the weather's turned real "Julyish, " it sort of jades the appetite and a salad sounds mighty good. Here's a recipe for a real tasty and temptin' one: Golden Glow Salad 1 Package lemon gelatin 1 Cup hot water 1 #2 Can (2 1/2 cups) crushed pineapple 1 Tablespoon vinegar 1/2 Teaspoon salt 1 Cup grated carrot 1/8 Cup chopped pecans Mix gelatin and hot water and allow to congeal slightly. Add remaining in gredients and let set. Serve on lettuce leaf. It's old and it's easy--but it's still good. Still no recipes have been received. What's wrong? 'Bye now! Unused advantages are no advan tages. 6 -
