J. M. Davis, assistant supervisor
in the Knitting Department, is conva
lescing after undergoing surgery at
High Point Memorial Hospital. He is
certainly being missed and we hope
he will be back in the Knitting Depart
ment soon.
Elva Lawing has moved into her
new home near Stoneville, N. C. The
Sample Department is just not the
same without her.
Forrest and Lois Jones (Forrest
of the Sample Department and Lois of
the Main Office), along with Randy and
Karen, recently visited in Hollywood,
Florida.
Mary Webster, of the Seaming De
partment, and her daughter have re
turned from Oakland, California,where
they attended the wedding of Mary's
son and visited with her sister who
lives in California.
Helen Sanders, also of the Seam
ing Department, and her husband sf>ent
a nice vacation in Baltimore where they
saw the Baltimore Orioles play the
Cleveland Indians. They also visited
points of interest in Washington and
Newport News.
Ensign E. Verne Snotherly, Jr.,
son of Chief Electrician Verne
Snotherly, was home on leave recently
after completing a Mediterranean
Cruise aboard the Submarine Trigger.

Congratulations to Carlos Auman,
head coach of the Little League Base
ball team, Luke Jones and A. B. Lock
hart, assistant coaches, on another
very successful season.
The Machine Shop is looking for
ward to starting on a contract for the
Chemical Warfare Section of the Armed
Forces in the very near future.

Kara Talley and her family spent
a few days at Myrtle Beach recently.
While they were on the coast, they
visited the U. S,S. North Carolina in
Wilmington.
Mary Winslow and her husband
enjoyed a recent weekend at Wrights-
ville Beach.

Lillie Brown, looper of Plant #6,
has returned to work after a wonder
ful vacation in Jacksonville, Florida.
Ethel Davis enjoyed a late vaca
tion at Daytona Beach, Florida.
And, Fraiikie Bulla, sizer of Plant
#6, has had another vacation. She
went down to Morehead--must have
driven all the way because she seems
to be driving better lately. She also
visited "Tweetsie" and Boone, N. C.
