Die Casting Operator Of The Month It takes a real man to tame a die casting machine and Johnny Welborn is just one of the crew at Southern Die Casting. However, Johnny's ex ceptional ability and determination to "stick with it" when things get tough and seek and learn the "magic meth ods" of making things go are just a few of the reasons that we take pride in naming him "Die Casting Operator of The Month. " Johnny was born in Fort Bragg, N. C. , but now makes his home with his parents, Hazel and Odell Wel- born, at 304 Gatewood Avenue in High Point. He came to work with Southern Die Casting on September 5, 1961, after graduating from High Point High School. Our hats go off to Johnny Welborn, one of the best of the men who make things go at Southern Die Casting and Engineering Company. " - 15- A daughter, Donna Kay, was born to Mr. and Mrs. Fletcher George on August 8, 1962. Mrs. George (Barbara) is a knitter at Plant #4. A daughter, Joyce Renee, was born to Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Haynes on September 19, 1962. Mrs. Haynes (Linda) is a folder at Plant #7 and Jerry is employed in the Casting De partment of Southern Die Casting. A son, Dwight Steven, was born to Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Nealey on August 29, 1962. Mrs. Nealey (Flos sie) is a folder at Plant #1. A son, Jerry Dean, was born to Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Branch on September 5, 1962. Mrs. Branch (Shirley) is a seamer at Plant #1. A daughter, Johnna Jill, was born to Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Shackleford on September 18, 1962. Mrs. Shackle ford (Peggy) is employed in the Second ary Department of Southern Die Cast ing. A son, Jerry Dwayne, was born to Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Beeson on September 11, 1962. Mrs. Beeson (Linda) is a boarder at Plant #4. Grandparents: People who come to your house, spoil your children, and then go home. Don't worry about finding your station in life, someone will tell you where to get off.
