OVER HEARD Plant One J. M. Davis, of the Knitting De partment is back to work after under going surgery. Mitchell was greatly missed during his illness. It's real nice to have him back. Leona Wolfe of Plant #1 and Ella Perry of Plant #6 will demonstrate the Ledwell and GeTaz seaming at the Catawba Valley Hosiery Show in Hick ory, November 27-29. Pointer The Pairing Department was in vited to the home of Millie and Eldred Robbins on October 5 for barbecued chicken. It is still undecided as to whether the food or the hospitality was the greater. Everybody is still talking about the twist party that fol lowed supper. Plant Six It's good to have Nancy Hudson back to work. Nancy has been on leave. Plant Seven Everybody was so pleased to see Nellie Ozment who stopped by the Pairing Department for a visit recent ly. Formerly floor lady in that de partment, Nellie moved to Kure Beach this summer. All indications are that the change of climate is agreeing with her since she looked real "chipper. " Margaret Eagleson and "Ike" (and "Ike's" sister and her husband) took a short trip to the mountains and rode on "Tweetsie. " Margaret is a folder at Plant #7. Bet that's the hardestwork you ever did--how about that C. T. ? Joyce Williams and Jack Snider were married on October 6, 1962, at Gravel Hill Baptist Church near Denton, N. C. Joyce is a pairer in Plant #7. To her and Jack, we wish much happiness. Boarding Room Views: Say, how 'bout those beautiful Indian Summer days with the tempera tures staying in the high eighties and lower nineties? As one boarder put it, "Looks like we'll be wearing sum mer clothes all winter, " and another saying, "When you're paying those fuel bills to keep from shivering and shaking, think about the 'good ole summertime'." Speaking of winter, we thought our Will wore his "un de tachable" cap to keep the curl out of his eyes, but being inquisitive, and just to make sure, we found the real reason is to keep the "flies from buz- zin!" Makes us wonder, come cold weather, if he'll change his headgear. How 'bout it, WILL? (Continued next page) -11-
