(Plant news continued) with few casualties. The good guys didn't do as well. Some of the personnel at MAC Panel are learning to become sports car drivers on lunch hours. So far, excellent progress has been made on the task of getting into the car. Un fortunately, the actual driving por tion of the lessons is not going well. Results have been: Two dead bat teries, one trip around the block in low gear (the trainee was afraid to try to shift to another), innumerable flooded, choked and stalled engines, and mishaps without end. Due to the outstanding lack of success, the pro gram has been dropped. High Point City and College Teachers to Visit Plants Adams-Millis plants in High Point will be hosts to teachers of the High Point City Schools and High Point Col lege November 14 and 15 for tours in the plants. The plant visitations will be a part of the Business-Industry-Edu- cation program sponsored by the High Point Chamber of Commerce to ac quaint teachers with the operations of the various industries and business en terprises in High Point. In addition to seeing the manufacturing processes in our plants, the teachers will be briefed in the management phase of the busi nesses. n E. Edwards Eddie Edwards, son of Forrest Edwards of the Sales Department, has already shown outstanding ability in his position as quarterback on High Point Central High's eleven. Eddie is a junior at Cen tral High. M. Rabon Mitchell Rabon, son of Louise Rabon of the Knitting Department of Plant #1, is star end of East Davidson High School's football team. He is in his senior year at East Davidson. -13- T. Shankle Also proving to be a valuable asset to Central High's team this year is Terry Shankle who plays halfback. Terry, also a junior at Central, is the son of C. V. Shankle, fixer of Plant #6.
