PARKING PERMITS TO BE ISSUED In order to identify cars being parked in our lots, parking permits will be issued to all employees who wish to use company parking lots. The permit will be in the form of a sticker to be placed in the lower right- hand corner of the windshield. Many persons who do not work at Adams-Millis are using the lots on Elm and English Streets. This practice makes it difficult for our own employees to find parking spaces. By having the cars of our employees identified by the stickers, we will then know which cars do not belong to Adams-Millis person nel. Since all cars not bearing our parking permits will be asked to move, you are urged to place a permit on your car. The permits will cost you nothing and are available upon request to your foreman. Each permit will be regis tered by number and your number will be recorded in the plant office. This will enable us to contact you in case it is necessary to have your car moved for emergency reasons, or in the event it is not parked properly. If you drive different cars to work at different times, you may have a per mit for each car. In the event you trade your present car, you are asked to remove the permit before trading. We will then issue a new permit. It is our plan to issue the same number for the newly acquired car. The stickers have been ordered and your foreman will notify you when they have arrived. They will be put into use immediately. This program is being inaugurated solely for your benefit; the only purpose of the permits is to enable us to control the use of the lots for your convenience. More spaces are needed as more em ployees desire to park in our lots. We have noticed a greater use of our lots by persons not working with us. With out some form of control, we will not be able to afford you parking space. It has also been noticed that some employees are parking in spaces re served for visitors and other em ployees, This practice must be stop ped; visitors' parking spaces have been reserved for customers and others calling on official business. Our park ing attendants have been asked to re port to the proper supervisor any em ployee car parked in a visitor's space. If the car is again parked in reserved space, it will be subject to removal at the owner's expense, the same as cars owned by persons not working at Adams-Millis. We regret we are not able to provide reserved spaces for each and every employee; all reserved spaces have been assigned. In Kernersville, parking spaces are being assigned by departments. This measure is necessary to avoid congestion in the parking lot next to the Knitting and Seaming Departments. Plant #4 employees are asked to coop erate by parking in the space assigned for their specific department. Adams-Millis will continue to pro vide all parking facilities possible. The proper use of these facilities will en able more employees to park in the spaces. Remember, unmarked cars will be subject to removal at the owner's ex pense. Therefore, you are urged to place the parking permit on your wind shield. Imagination is what makes you think you're having a wonderful time when you're really only spending money. Say "How cool you look, " and it pleases a woman; tell her she doesn't look so hot and it makes her mad. Women are so unreasonable. 11 -
