Plant #6: Nora Stroud, seamer of Plant #6, has returned to work after being out for a hospital stay. It's good to have her back. The Knitting Department of Plant #6 had to work Thanksgiving and most of them didn't have turkey for dinner, but the second shift was treated to a turkey supper again this year by Mrs. Don Williard, Supervisor Don Wil- liard's wife, her daughter and sister. On the menu were hambiscviits, potato salad, stuffed celery, cranberry sauce, pickles and pumpkin pie. (Wonder if there're any openings on second shift. . . ) Plant #7: Myrtle Austin and John Bryson were married on October 27, 1962, at Woodlawn Baptist Church. The couple will make their home at 1127 Tryon Street in High Point. Myrtle is a folder at Plant #7. Jo Ann Summey and Reitzel Trot ter were united in marriage on Octo ber 27, 1962, at South Main Street Methodist Church. The ceremonywas performed by the Rev. T. H. Swofford. The newlyweds will make their home at 512 Twin Oaks Court. Jo Ann is a printer in Plant #7. "Mike" Ford, Shipping Depart ment employee, bade sad adieu to everyone and left on November 20 for a four-year "hitch" in the Navy. "Mike" will be greatly missed and, of course, especially by his wife, Pat, who works in the Folding Department. BOARDING ROOM VIEWS. . . . Usually when it's time for shift changes, you hear all kinds of com ments; but, this time, except for a few sleepy-eyed second shifters, it went off quite calmly. In fact, every one seemed to have on his good worker's attitude. Maybe it's because of the oncoming holidays--what with your Thanksgiving meal tucked under your belt and Old St. Nick to think about, it's really time to get down to business--with QUALITY in mind, of course. Sure hope everyone had their fill of "gobble, gobble." 'Especially "Slim." Hi,"Slimf" - 13 -
