JOHN HOLTON RETIRES After forty years of service with Adams-Millis Corporation, John S. Holton retired November 16 on the basis of dis ability. John was born March 1, 1902, in Jamestown and at tended Jamestown School. He farmed John Holton prior to coming to Adams-Millis in 1922. He was first employed in the Finishing Department of Plant #1, later moving to the Shipping Depart ment. In 1936, he was transferred to Plant #3 as shipping clerk and re mained there until the plant closed in 1955. Then, he moved to the Shipping Department of Plant #2 and in 1957, he came back to Plant #l's Shipping Department where he worked until his retirement. John is married to the former Wanda Newby of Thomasville. They have three sons; Charles, who is em ployed in Plant #1; George, who is employed in Plant #7; and Sanford, who lives in Washington, D. C. The Holtons attend Jamestown Methodist Church.
