In recognition of their twenty-five years of service with Adams-Millis Corporation, J. W. Snotherly, left, Personnel Director, and William T. ("Babe") Hayes, right, head of Plant #4's Order Department, received gifts of watches at Christmas time. Making the presentation was President James H. Millis. These three "Lazy Bones" sat it out at the office party. They are, left to right, Frances Smith, Jack Adams and Iris Marshall. VACATION PAY DISTRIBUTED Vacation pay amounting to $56,596.37 was paid to 1,225 em ployees of Adams-Millis Corporation on December 14, 1962. Vacation pay is distributed semi-annually, in July and in December. In order to be eligible for Decem ber vacation pay, employees must have completed one year, or more, of continuous service on the previous October 1 and be on the payroll on that date. The amount received is based on individual earnings from the previous April 1 to the previous Oc tober 1, those employees with one to five years of continuous service re ceiving 2% of their earnings and those with five years, or more, of continu ous service receiving 4% of their earnings. More than one-half of the em ployees have been with the company for five years, or more, and re ceived vacation pay on a 4% basis.
