The Adams-Millis Little Industrial League Baseball Team finished the season with a record of 17 wins and 1 loss. They were League winners in the regular season games and defeated Silver Knit and Amos to place first in the play-offs. Jay Spencer, son of Earline Spencer of the Main Office, received the season's Most Valuable Player Award; Gary Burrow, grandson of Alene Burrow of the Seaming Department of Plant #7, received the Sportsmanship Award; and Robert Mclnnis, nephew of Nell Mclnnis of the Seaming Department of Plant #1, received the Most Improved Player Award. The team was coached by A. B. Lockhart, of Southern Die Casting, and Carlos Auman, of the Machine Shop; James Lockhart also helped with training the players and looking after the equipment.
