PLANT NEWS Plant #1: From Reporter Rochelle Ester. . . Members of the Adami Club met on Thursday, August 27, for a cook- out at the home of Margye Martin. It started raining shortly after the group gathered, but they didn't let Cleo dampen their spirits one bit--they simply moved into the family room and enjoyed eating hamburgers and hot dogs with all the trimmings. After everybody had finished eating and settled comfortably--including Helen Mason in the recliner--Pansy Davis and Katie Brown entertained at the piano (self-player, that is). Then, "Lil" Hill spotted the organ and an old- fashioned hymn sing was in session. By this time, the hamburgers and hot dogs had settled enough for them to enjoy some of the brown sugar pound cake Pansy had baked for the occasion. Then, Margye came out with a wonder ful surprise--a freezer of home-made ice cream with no less than strawberry and whipped cream topping. Members of the club commented that it is a good thing they don't have such outings often or there would be a bunch of "fat" clerks and timekeepers at Adams-Millis. Laura Choplin, former employee of Adams-Millis and aunt of Margye Martin, was a special guest. Audrey Waisner became the bride of Charles J. Lof- lin on August 28, 1964. The cere mony was perform ed by the Rev. 1. J. Sherrill in Denton, North Carolina. Audrey is em ployed in the Finish ing Department of Plant #1. News of more vacations from the Sample Department. . .
