Ginger Walser went to Fontana Village. Margaret White visited in Newport News, Virginia. Doreen Ridge took a trip to Joppa- towne, Maryland. Maxine Hiatt vacationed at Nags Head. Becky Crowson, Nellie Branson and Netril Weavil were at Carolina Beach. Dorothy Adams went to Atlantic Beach. Ruth Brewer visited in Harlan, Kentucky. Betty Davis vacationed in Atlanta, Georgia. Evie Jones chose Cherry Grove Beach for her vacation. Edith Bodenheimer enjoyed a trip to Emerald Isle. Order Department: Kathy Hicks and family spent their vacation at her home in Heflin, Ala. She brought two of her sisters back with her. Evelyn Cox and family went to Lake Arrowhead during vacation week. John Cunningham also enjoyed a beach vacation. "Smut" Creech, Lib Skeen, Shirley Coleman and Mildred Fields all stayed at home but had a good time relaxing and visiting friends. Folding Department: We miss Hilda Moorefield who quit to stay at home with her children. Hilda was sample girl--with a smile that couldn’t be beat. We hope that Kate Chapman and Hazel, both of whom have been hospital patients, will soon be well and back with us. Welcome back to Margaret Eagle- son, who has been out sick. Deane Johnson and family vaca tioned at Virginia Beach, They visited the Gardens By The Sea and other points of interest in Virginia. Margaret Bencini spent her vaca tion visiting two of her sisters--one in New York and the other in Philadelphia. Cathy Burns and her husband celebrated their wedding anniversary by visiting the mountains and the beach. Viola Lucas went to Kentucky to visit relatives. Odessa Welch visited her sister in Florida. Shirley White and family attended camp meeting in Charlotte, N. C. Mazie Rowland spent some time with her sister in Sanford. Most everyone was looking for a cool place to rest; some visited the mountains and some the beach. Lucille, Hilda, Frankie, Bessie, Rose, Peggy, Rusty, Paul Creel and Ivlabel went to the beach. Mary Roberts, Bessie, Peggy and Linda Vick went to the mountains. Betty Lee and her family visited White Lake. Ola Clinard went to see relatives at Seagrove. Imogene Wier and her husband enjoyed a trip to the mountains, Mary Chapman and her family went to the beach at Charleston, S,C, Walter Voncannon and his wife visited points of interest in Florida. Charlie Tuttle and his wife went to the coast to fish, but it seems that the big fish were on vacation, too. Shipping Department: Larry Hill spent most of his vaca tion at home, except for one day that he visited in the mountains. Ruth Lee and her family went to White Lake, where Ruth bought a lot and a trailer. John Davis is still trying to figure out why his car wouldn't start during the Four’th of July week. John McQueen was glad to have his wife and little boy back home from Philadelphia where his son was a hospital patient. Mike Conrad did a variety of things, such as swimming and camp ing. - 17 -
