On the Quality Control staff with Jack Mabe are Elmer Hoover and Lucille Miller, of the Knitting Depart ment, and Emma Jean Cox, of the Seaming Department, in Plant #1. The Mt. Airy plant has James Thompson and Bertha Arrington in the Knitting Department and Patricia Easter in the Seaming Department. In Plant #3, Kernersville, are Betty Trivette, Boarding Department; Ruth Berrier, Pairing Department; and Gail Warren, Finishing Department. In Plant #4 in Kernersville are Rufus James of the Knitting Department and Hallie Perdue of the Seaming Department. Emma Jean Cox, Seaming De partment, Plant #1, checks for quality of seaming. She looks for even ness of seams, heavy or light seams and broken seams. Other feature s checked by Quality Control are cor rect color seaming thread, chaining, cornering, beard ing and threading- out. Gail Warren checks the packaging in the Finishing De partment of the J. Ed Millis Plant in Kern ersville. She is in specting labels and folding in boxes which are ready for ship ment. Observing the procedure is Jack Mabe, Quality Con trol Chief. The weekly audit is pre - pared from the daily reports made by Gail. -9-
