SUPERVISORS COMPLETE ETV COURSE Supervisors of the finishing plant in Kernersville and the ladies' hosiery division in High Point have participat ed in the educational television pro grams presented by the Educational Foundation For Commerce And Indus try Of North Carolina. They have just completed the series of eight weekly sessions entitled "Controlling Employee Turnover and Absenteeism. " Each session, Dr. George Heaton presented a thirty-minute TV discus sion which was followed by workshops in the plants. Richard Moser was con ference leader in Kernersville and J. W. Snotherly was the conference leader in High Point. Following the TV presentations, the groups discussed case studies and problem situations in attempts to under stand better why some people are absent more than others and why people quit their jobs. While the TV series has been com pleted, the group will continue their studies in these areas. Participating in the High Point group were, left to right: W. L. Voncannon, Claude Eddinger, John Parker, Dewitt Winfree, Charles Tuttle, Dwight Miller, Charles Hall, Bill Brown, Hazel Crowson, Charles Powers and Jim Ledwell. In deep concentration over an absentee problem are Henry Smith, Gene Yow and Doug Streetman. Clyde Williams gets an assist from Paul Welborn in solving his assignment while Robert Davis ponders the same problem. - 7
