VW»i3pH«W? A son, Clayton Kevin, was born to Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Edward Con way on October 24, 1967. Betty is employed in the pairing department of Plant #7. A son was born to Mr. and Mrs. Don Ferguson on November 26, 1967. Don is employed in the knitting de partment of Plant #2. A daughter, Janis Renee, was born to Mr. and Mrs. Weldon Snow on , November 3, 1967. Mrs. Snow (Lois) is employed in the seaming department of Plant #2. A daughter was born recently to Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Holloway. Mrs, Holloway (Brenda) is employed in the knitting department of Plant #2. A son was born-recently to Mr. and Mrs. Jack White. Mrs. White (Gaynell) is employed in the foldmg department of Plant #2. A son, William Chad McDowell, was born to Mr. and Mrs. George E. McDowell on November 23, 1967. Otis is employed in Four out of each ten accidents happen while the injured person is handling something. Maybe a sprain ed back is the result of moving a case, or a burned hand the result of moving a hot object. And accidents at Adams- Millis follow the pattern. Since last AMCO NEWS, another printing ma chine operator reached for an envelope in the printing machine while the ma chine was running. The envelope pul led her hand into the gear of the ma chine, causing lacerations which required six stitches. While trying to activate the clutch of a coating machine, an operator s hand was mashed in the gears. Two disk coaters dropped disks which they were removing from the oven. One operator was injured as a result of the disk being hot, the other needed help but did not ask for it. A boarder failed to recognize that one of the socks was wet and transmit ted the heat more freely, resulting in a burn. And, then, there was the operator who reached too far across the table to pick up a disk and sprained his back. Get in a proper position while lifting. A warehouseman was walking to ward a case of yarn. He was not look ing where he was walking and walked against a guard rail that was not in proper position. Keep a sharp lookout where you walk.
