PLANT NEWS Plant #2: Don't let this happen to you as it did to Virginia Allen of Plant #2. She received injuries that kept her out of work for several weeks. We are happy to report that she has returned to her job. Congratulations to Lelia King--she is a new grandmother. Kathleen Chilton attended her son- in-law's graduation at Western Carolina University. Elsie Baum spent a recent weekend in Richmond, Virginia. Lewis and Linda Bowman had a real good time on their trip to Okla homa where they visited Lewis' brother and his family. Gladys Myers is back at her ma chine after having spent a few days in the hospital. Welcome back! Congratulations to Pat Easter and Eva Combs who won cash prizes at the North Carolina State Bowling Tournament in Winston-Salem recently. Ora Joyce, Pairing Department, has a new little grandson. Needless to say, she is very proud of him. Plant #3: Frank Robbins, son of Virginia Robbins of the Finishing Department, is home on leave from Okinawa. The Robbins also welcomed a new grand son. It's good to have Irene Williams back in the Box Department, She has been in the hospital. Who is the supervisor with the red face ? The one who fell in the waste basket and continued to talk on the phone. . . Marion Hedgecock enjoyed a recent vacation at Satellite Beach, Florida. Glad to have Macy Beeson back to work. She was out of work for ten weeks due to illness. Betty and Arnold Shields visited Richmond, Indiana during the Easter holidays. Congratulations and best wishes to Mr. and Mrs. Phil K. Easter! She is Dixie Dorsett of the Pairing Depart ment. She will soon be transferring to the MAC Panel Division in High Point. We'll miss her! The Pairing Department showed their love and affection for Leva Kirk- man through the gift of a bedspread on her recent retirement. Rosa Weatherman and Jean Murphy have returned to work after having been sick. Margie Eaton and Millie Robbins are still out--hope they can be back soon. Jean Blaylock, of the Personnel Office, is a patient at Forsyth Memorial Hospital where she has undergone major surgery. She is greatly missed--she's one who is never too busy to take time out to help with little personal problems, and we'll be looking forward to her re turn. “Saw my first robin today— just in time, too!”
