Because of failing health, Willie D.
Hester, Plant 3, has found it necessary
to retire from her job in the finishing
department. She became ill in January
of this year and had to be out of work,
but was able to return and work for
about two months. Now, she has found
that she will not be able to continue
working.
Miss Hester was born in Durham,
N. C. , but lived in Greensboro before
moving to High Point in the thirties.
Her first job was pairing with Guilford
Hosiery Mill. She worked with Adams-
Millis first as a pairer at the Pointer
Plant on Grimes Street and then as a
utility girl in the finishing department
of the English Road plant. She trans
ferred to the Ed Millis Finishing Plant
in Kernersville y«ar before last.
Miss Hester resides with her
sister at 303 Sinclair Street in High
Point, N. C.
This has been

Eaton, daughter of

boarding depart
ment of Plant 3.
After graduating
from East Forsyth
High School in
June, she became
the bride of Jimmy Westmoreland who
was employed in the lab of Plant 3 un
til he entered military service on
August 5.
