A big "welcome home!" is extend
ed to Tommy Beck who has just return
ed to his job in the Greige Goods De
partment after having served for two
years with the 15th Engineering Batal-
lion of the 9th Infantry Division of the
U. S. Army; one of these years was
spent in Vietnam. We think a big "thank
you!" is also in order.

Year" of the Mary
Bethune Branch of
the High Point
Y.W.C.A. Her
mother, Juanita
Payne, was crown
ed "Mrs. Y. W. C. A. " of that branch
in 1966. Juanita is employed in the
Knitting Department of Plant 1.
Can you tell who the proud new
grandmothers are in the Greige Goods
Department? It isn't hard to do;
there's Barbara Walker who has a
new granddaughter, Mary Webster
who has a new grandson, and Beulah
Tuttle who has a new granddaughter.
Plant 2:
We have news of several late
vacationers at Plant #2.
Ossie Jones and her husband,
accompanied by Dorothy Gwynn and
her husband, visited Ossie's sister
in Warrington, Pennsylvania.
Wanda Dixon and family went to
the Smokies.
Folger Montgomery and family
enjoyed a vacation in Tennessee.
Rachel Puckett visited in Laurel
Forks, Virginia.
Dallas Harvey went fishing.
Eva Hooker visited her daughter
and her family in Greensboro.
Burton Stanley took his family to
the Smokies.
The State Fair at Raleigh attract
ed Johnny Vernon.
Pat Easter returned from her
Jacksonville, Florida vacation saying
she had a wonderful time.
David York and family spent a
week's vacation in New York.
Clifford Inman and his family en
joyed their vacation at Myrtle Beach.
Pat and Ruth Snow and Helen Gul-
lett and her family spent some time
in Florida.
Stacy and J. M. Cundiff enjoyed
a week of camping at Holden's Beach.
They took Floyd Jones and his wife
with them, and they all had a grand
time fishing from the pier--and buy
ing lots at Long Beach.
Page Phillips and his wife spent
a week in Norfolk, Virginia visiting
his sister.
Herman Inman and Thurman Mil
ler and their families were among
the campers at Sherwood Forest.
Virginia Culler had the best vaca
tion of all--her son returned home
safely from Vietnam.
Welcome back to Lois Bryant
who has been out for two months, and
to Stacy Cundiff who has been in the
hospital. We hope Bertie Roberts,
Vena Bennett, Ora Joyce and Annie
Hensley will be back real soon; they
are all on sick leave.
