Dwight, spent Christmas in Miami, Florida. Irene Vinson is justly proud of the ring she received for Christmas. Blanche Myers had a very special Christmas. Her son, Sp, 5 Gary Myers, came home from Germany in time to be with his family for the holidays. Gary is now out of service and very glad, of course, to be home. Welcome back to 1/la.xy Little, Ann Sigmon and Frank Reid, all of whom have been out due to long illnesses. Plant 7: Finishing Department The finishing department had their Christmas party in the Gold Room of the Sheraton Hotel. Claude Eddinger acted as master of ceremonies and Herman White gave the invocation. Din ner was served buffet style. Games were directed by Hilda Rains; those participating were Dwight Miller, John Stevenson, Kenneth Allred, Norman Wier and "Red" Riley. The singing of Christrras carols was directed by Floyd Rains. Special selections were done by John Stevenson; Patricia Covington, Frances Quick, Ann Jackson, Barbara Dalton and Margaret Brockman; Doris and Claude Eddinger; Hilda and Floyd Rains; and Herman and Shirley White. The presentation of gifts to all of these present climaxed the most enjoyable evening. Patricia Eaker spent the holidays visiting relatives in Canada. Patricia Covington went to Phila delphia to visit her husband-to-be dur ing the Christmas vacation. Delois Crawford visited in Vir ginia. It was good to see Charlie and Louise Tuttle back from the Oklahoma plant for the Christmas holidays, even though Charlie was bitten by the flu bug and had to spend most of his time on the inside. Mabel Smith is quite proud of her new daughter-in-law. Alice Brown, of the office, and her family enjoyed their holidays in Miami. Jim Lewis is mighty happy now that his grandson, who was seriously injur ed in an automobile accident, is mend ing rapidly. There were several mighty anxious days following the acci dent. Hilda Rains has been out with flu, but it's real good to see her smil ing face back in the finishing room. Linda Haynes is still out following surgery, but we hope she, too, will be back real soon. Imogene Wier got a beautiful horse for Christmas! She doesn't even mind getting up early in the morning to care for her--her name is Kate. Boarding Room Views Upon returning to work after the Christmas vacation, everyone declar ed that the week passed all too quickly. Adams-Millis helped most of its em ployees celebrate with gifts of ham and vacation pay. Don't know which dis appeared the quicker, but both were certainly most welcome and appreciat ed. Now, if we can just get those taxes listed and the license plates bought, we can all start working and looking for ward to our July vacation. The employees of the boarding de partment extend a hearty welcome to their new supervisor. Opal Ferrell, and they hope that Jack Kinsey will en joy his new duties. Reasons for happiness; Ina Blackwell and Lib Sink visiting relatives in Flor ida during the holidays. Lib "took in" the Jackie Gleason show while they were there. . .Lucy Tickle becoming Mrs. Harvey Craven. . . Pauline Gat lin with a hew granddaughter. . .A color television for Willie Young. . . Ruth Thomas' daughter-in-law (Kathy) and grandson home from Okinawa. . . Blanche Leonard declaring that she is going to stick to her diet. -16-
