The pledge card provides for payroll deductions each pay day over the year. The card above is the 1969 High Point United Appeal card. Similar cards will be used in the other plants of Adams-Millis. > Your Salvation Army transient service provides meals, lodging and clothing for men, women and fami lies passing through the area. Often these people have lost their jobs, or families, and all hope of a successful life; but with assistance from the Salvation Army, they are given shelter, meals, a place to sleep and a work opportunity--a home away from home. -7- Girl Scouting is more than a club; |it is the largest world wide organiza- ion serving girls anywhere. Program spans ages 7-17 with different activi ties for four age levels: Brownies, Juniors, Cadettes and Seniors. These four scouting groups have six concen trated areas of study; Living up to the promise and law. Service toothers. Troop management. Citizenship, Inter national friendship and Health and safety. Girls who grow up in Scouting grow with a code of friendship, loyalty and honor.
