Ken Rich
SUPERVISOR OF THE MONTH
When he was asked
^hat he does, Ken Rich
replied, "You name it
3-nd that's what I do. "
Ken is a management
trainee serving as as
sistant to Robert Boyles,
'iirector of production
^nd manufacturing for
the men's and boys'
hosiery division. His
duties are general in
administration and he
has assignments in production planning and
plant layout.
Ken Rich is a 1966 graduate of High Point
College where he majored in psychology. He
taught special education in the Randolph County
Schools after graduation; he was a management
trainee for another plant in High Point before
Joining Adams-Millis on March 24, 1969.
With his ability to make friends, Ken rap
idly established himself as a leader. His
raild manner enables him to go along with
others as well as to get others to go along with
him. He has a keen understanding of human
delations. His willingness to listen while prob
ing a problem gives him a keener insight to the
Solution.
He assisted in the layoutof the Komet and
Wilson Rib machines in the knitting depart-
ipents in High Point and Kernersville. He as
sisted Joe Dale, plant superintendent, in plan
ning the consolidation of the Knit Sox and
hisnant plants in Hickory with primary re
sponsibility for the layout of the finishing de -
Partment. Rich participates in the production
Planning for all half hose plants. He is cur
rently in charge of Plant 3's training program
^hich is sponsored by the National Alliance of
business Men.
Ken Rich has spent his entire life in High
l^oint. He participated in track and basketball
la high school; he was co-captain of the basket
ball team. His recreational activities now are
§olf and tennis.
Another good thing happened to Ken Rich
Adams-Millis. He married the former
Sandra Pressley who was employed in the data
processing department of the company. They
have one child, a daughter, Sandy, who is two
years old. Ken is treasurer and a deacon of
the First Church of Christ in High Point.
In addition to his participation in the Adams-
Millis United Appeal campaign, he also serves
as a captain in the city-wide United Appeal cam
paign.
■A man who thrives on being busy every
minute with a wide variety of assignments,
we salute Ken Rich as our Supervisor of The
Month.
