Promotions for two have been announced
R. L. Boyles, director of manufacturing

Charles W. Hall has been named assistant
®aperintendent of the knitting plant in Kerners-
He had been supervisor of knitting on
third shift in the High Point knitting plant.
Larry Simpson, formerly a fixer in the
Point knitting plant, was promoted to third
®hift supervisor to succeed Hall.
A native of Archdale, where he has spent
entire life, Charles Hall attended Trinity
^gh School. His first job with Adams-Millis
1953 was learning to knit. He moved from
aitting to fixing in July of 1958. He served as
^ tnilitary policeman with the Army from March
1959 to March of 1961 at Fort Devins, Mass. ,
ai't Jackson, S. C., and Fort Gordon, Georgia,
has been knitting room supervisor since
of 1964.
Charles was married to Frances Carroll
°a May 19, 1959. They have two daughters,
iinberly and Kelly, and one son, Mark. They
members of Archdale Baptist Church, and
aarles is a member of the High Point Indus-
^^al Management Club. They live on Driftwood
"I live on the water all of my leisure time, "
Charles said in speaking of his hobbies. And
he is well prepared with an 18-foot boat equip
ped with a 70 horsepower motor. His other
hobby is gun collecting.
Larry Simpson joined Adams-Millis after
his graduation at Wallburg High School. He
started as a komet knitter in 1957 and was pro
moted to fixing in 1965.
Simpson served two years in the U. S.
Army. He was with the infantry in the state of
Washington and served a six-month assignment
in Germany.
Larry lives between Wallburg and Winston-
Salem, N. C. ; he is a member of New Friend
ship Baptist Church. His hobby is golf. "I play
golf every day; I like to play different courses
which offer different challenges, " Larry de
scribed his game. He shoots in the low eighties
andonhis better days will score in the seventies.
His love for golf makes the third shift more
desirable for Larry, and anyone looking for a
partner will find him ready to play.

Life Insurance Increased
The amounts of life insurance provided by
the Adams - Millis Corporation Group Insurance
Plan were increased on March 31 for 246 em
ployees. The terms of the group insurance
policy state that the amount of life insurance
for each employee shall be re-determined as
of each March 31 on the basis of the employee's
average compensation for the preceding twelve
months. The 1970 income tax reports were
used to determine which employees were eli
gible for the increases in their life insurance.
Employees with earnings from $4,000. 00
to $6,000.00 annually are insured for $12,000
life insurance--$6, 000. 00 basic insurance and
$6,000.00 supplemental insurance.
Insured employees with annual earnings
from $6, 000. 00 to $10, 000. 00 are insured for
$10, 000. 00 basic and $10, 000. 00 supplemental
life insurance. The amount of insurance is
