HOSIERY SALES CENTRALIZED IN HIGH POINT OFFICES

In an effort to continue the improvement of
sales and customer relations through better com-
■^umcation and contact with manufacturing, Don
ald G. Lindner, president of Adams-Millis Ho-
siery Company, has announced the centralization
virtually all sales personnel in the High Point
office.
The New Yorkand Los Angeles sales offices
have been closed and Matthew LaMuraglia of the
New York office and James A. Jarvis of the Los
pngeles office, along with Robert P. Grant of the
hicago office, have relocated in High Point. New
offices have been built in the lower level of the
general office building on Elm Street; these of-
ices will serve as main headquarters for the en-
hosiery company's sales force.
Bob Grant, senior vice president of sales
nd marketing, has been with the Chicago office
or the past four years. He has moved to High
oint where his wife, Bette, and his daughter,
Nolly, will join him in the fall. Bob has another
a.ughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Ellsoos, who makes
er home in Naperville, Illinois with her two chil
dren, Kristi and Troy,
Matt LaMuraglia, sales account executive,
as been with the company's New York office since
964. His wife, Mary Ellin, and their children,
att, Jr. , Thomas, James, Peter, Michael, John,
aria Francesca, Mary Elizabeth, Joseph and
ary Ellin, will join him in early June to make

control. Since 1956, he
has worked in the Los
Angeles area as a sales
representative for the
Hosiery Division. He
and his wife, Alicia, are
now making their home
in High Point. Their only
son. Captain James A. Jarvis, Jr. , is with the
U. S. Army Corps of Engineers and he and his
wife, Sharon, are living in Frankfort, Germany.
John Merrick will continue to serve in a sales
capacity in the Chicago area, as will George Fi-
lardi in the New York area and Frank Gordon in
the Kansas area.
ForrestE, Edwards and James A. Williams
will remain in the High Point sales offices, For
rest as national sales manager and Jim as sales
manager of the Supermarket Division.
Jarvis
At his recent retirement dinner. Bob Bates,
center, was photographed with Bascome Loflin,
left, and Robert Boyles, right. The trio has
compiled a record of 132 years of service with
Adams-Millis. Bates led with 48 years; Loflin
and Boyles follow with 44 years each.
One needs common sense to succeed, and a
sense of humor to be happy.
