Layton Yow, training and development manager for Adams- hlillis Texturing and yeing, died May 16. h'rior to his last posi tion, he was plant mana- Sor of A-M Texturing. Layton came with TexElastic in 1968 when the firm was setting up the Texturing Division, nnd he went with the new texturing plant when it started operation. He had been in the texturing and throwing industries tor several years. He is survived by his widow; Frances, a daughter; Mrs. Becky Hunter; and two sons; tiandall and Tim. James L. (Luke) dones, supervisor of the hox printing department in the Hosiery Division's t^ernersville plant, died ^arch29, 1974, follow ing a 3-year period of declining health. He had een employed in the t^ernersville plant for 21 years, starting as a pack ing handler in 1953. "Luke" was born in ^lleghany County, the son of Lonnie S. and Laura abe Jones, and had lived in the High Point and homasville areas most of his life. He was i^arried to Lois Johnson, who survives of the orne. Route 2, High Point. He was a member of ion United Church of Christ, a member of the fellowship class of the Sunday School and was a veteran of World War 11. Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Misses Laurel Susan and Heidi Acenith Jones, both of the home; two sons, Barry Randall Jones of Route 2, High Point, and Tony Lynn Jones, with the U. S. Army at Okinawa. RAEFORD PLANT OPENS EMPLOYEE OUTLET STORE Employees at TexElastic's Raeford plant now have their own employee outlet store where they can purchase a wide variety of hosiery and fab rics produced by Adams-Millis Corporation. The store will operate one day per week at which time orders will be taken and processed through the central outlet store in High Point. Assisting in setting up the store were Walter L. Voncannon, Hosiery Division Vice President, and Grace Ward and Ruby Deskins of the central store in High Point. Lois Sumner, Annie Pearl Walters and Lib Wood take hosiery orders in the Raeford plant. - RSTyaiER- “What do you mean I put the sign up wrong? It looks all right to me!”
