KERNERSVILLE PLANTS
Not many people can plunge 250 feet down
a mountainside in a small automobile and walk
away almost unscathed, but Eva Rothrock and
her three children did. Eva and her children
were on their way to Virginia to visit her sister
when she took the wrong exit on State Route 16.
It was raining and the road was slick; when she
hit the brake to slow down, the car skidded, hit
a post, and then went down the side of the moun
tain. The Rothrocks were terribly fortunate to
have escaped serious injury. Eva's youngest
son was the only one to have sustained any in
juries at all, and they were only cuts and
scratches. A week after the incident Eva quali
fied for her supplemental attendance pay.
Welcome back to those who have been out
onsickleave: Kat Albert, Vera Beane, Barbara
Lane and Macy Beeson.
Kate Spillman's son, Donny, graduated from
