SERVICE WITH A SMILE
WHERE’S THE THE CATCH?
"Service with a smile" is an old cliche but
very appropriate with the personnel staff in
Plant 3. Betty Barber, left, is receptionist
and switchboard operator; she is first to greet
the visitors and employees in person and on
the telephone. Kay Kiser, center, is personnel
clerk. Jean Blaylock, right, handles group in
surance claims and other personnel records.
The picture does not indicate the success
of this group of men from the Mt. Airy who
recently went deep sea fishing. They are, front
row, left to right: James Utt, Pat Duncan and
Glenn Utt; back row, left to right, are Dale
Overton, Larry Sawyers, Dennis Carter, Pete
Haynes, Roy Utt and Carl Utt.
Only the dumb envy the talkative.

OUNCE OF PREVENTION
Ozelle Swink, seamer of Plant 1 in High
Point, believes an ounce of prevention is worth
a pound of cure. Ozelle gets her flu shot ad
ministered by Ellen Scott, plant nurse of
A-M Texturing and Dyeing.
Pity costs nothing, and it ain't worth noth
ing.
