Onie Hayes had company from Durham last Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. R. D. Hayes and family. Ina Holland’s soin, John, has been in the R«x Hospital in Raleigh for an opea-ation. We are glad to hear he is out and getting along fine. BIG BOY — This happy and healthy looking fellow is Ricky Ray, 10-month-old son of Myrtle Loflin of the ladies’ dungaree de partment. Leuiia Caudill and Mac, her 'hus band, spent last week end in North Wilkesboro with her father. Flash! Especially for anyone liv ing on the Winston-Salem High way who has been hearing some thing go by several times a week thait sounds like a jet plane. Don’t be alarmed! It is only Willie Sin gleton (our bundle boy) and his Ford on their way to Winston- Salem on one of Willie’s big dates. Watch those road signs, Willie. We are sorry to hear that Clau- dine Vestal’s mother has been in the hospital at Elkin. We hope she will soon recover. Mary Ashby and family spent last week at GaS'tonia. Vera Tuttle’s stepson, C. H., is home for three weeks. Laura Hopkins was given a sur prise birthday dinner on Septem ber 23. We all miss 11a Luther who has ■b&cn out several weeks due to a fractured arm. Visiting in the home of June Ward last week were Mr. and Mrs. Jim Reeves and daughter, Brenda, of Harlington, Texas. We are glad to hear (that Lorine Snow’s husband, Bill, is home from the hospital and feeling better. We want to welcome Zella Wagg as a new member of our plant. The hunting season has opened in Virginia. Seems as if everyone is hunting squirrels but we are wondering what’s happened to James Boyer and his hunting trips on Saturdays. Everyone in upper Grayson Counity has been on the lookout for mad dogs and convicts. Two dogs have gone mad recently and have had to ba killed. Also, two convicts have escaped fiiom prison and are still at large. Shirt at White By Ruby Walker The Shirt Department has sitart- ed a bowling team this year. They will practice Tuesday night.
