Page Six SEWITSEAMS JUNE ISSUE Vacation Plans? They’ve HORSEBACK RIDING is what Maude Talley is looking forward lo when she and her family go to Fontana Dam the week of the Fourth. Maude and Bob and Jan ice, who is six, will leave Friday, June 29, and return Saturday of the next week. They have rented a cottage at Fontana and plan to fish and swim and Maude has promised to bring back a pic ture of her on a horse to be pub lished in Sew It Seams. THE MOUNTAINS of West Virginia are calling Irene Dollar of Utility Department who plans a visit there with relatives. Her husband, Henry, and son and daughter, Elsie and Jackie, will make the trip with her by car. They plan to be gone most of the week and will see a lot of "home- folks" as Irene is a native of West Virginia. Got ’Em! CAROLINA AND MYRTLE BEACH are the spots where Glenda Bowman plans her vaca tion with her husband, Joe. She has already been to the beach several weekends and for her there's no place like it. BETTY WRIGHT and her hus band, Jessie, and four-year-old son, Terry, will spend a week at Carolina Beach. Betty and Terry will sun bathe while husband Jessie fishes. 1 A WEEK OF REST is what Kathleen Felts is looking forward to during her vacation. Maybe a short trip or two will be on the family's agenda, but nothing ex tensive. PERNIE HARVELL says she and her husband, David, are go ing as "far into Florida as we can," on their vacation. They definitely plan to visit Daytona and Miami Beaches. They'll drive in their '50 Oldsmobile. Pernie says they didn't take a vacation last year because they had only been married two years and couldn't afford it," but this year they'ie going to make up for lost time. EDNA WARRELL says the weather's too hot to travel so she is planning to stay at home dur ing vacation week. Home is 1722 Cedrow Avenue and Edna says it's one of the coolest spots in town. She did say the family might go on a picnic to a nearby spot. DORIS YOUNG and husband, Arthur, and son. Tommy, plan a trip to Jacksonville, Fla., to visit relatives. Doris formerly lived in Jacksonville. Trips to the beach and fishing will be their enter tainment while there. Doris says they will return home in plenty of time to get a good rest before coming back to work. L
