SAFETY SCORE BOARDS WILL CHANGE - Employees in the Cutting Depart ment at Hudson look at their Safety Board which shows they have a perfect record with no lost-time accidents marked against them. Beginning the first of the year the number of days recorded on these boards will be based on a “365-day year.” As of now the boards are kept on a “working days” record, which exclude Saturdays and Sundays and other non-working days. Under the new method each day will be figured in the department’s record so that a clearer picture of the year’s record may be shown. BORN ON SPOOK’S DAY - Betty Bell doesn’t seem one bit disturbed that she’s celebrating her birthday on Hallo ween. In fact, she’s got a lot to be pleased about, such as that lovely orchid corsage, which was a gift from Mabel Flynt and Jewel Jones. Her co-workers presented her with a nylon robe and she received a pair of gloves from Ludie Mae Ingram, a jewelry box from Judy Hendren, lingerie from Mildred Reese and a bottle of cologne from Edna Worrell- Betty said she couldn’t imagine a nicer 26th birthday. Three Departments Have Accident-Free Month Three departments came up with perfect accident records for the month of October and Ossie Wright commended them for the report. The departments included Independence, Sport Shirt and Overall. Three departments came up machines.
