Hall is fine after an at tack suft'ered at the hands of an un known assailant. He attended meet ings of the Aeromedical Association, held last month in Washington. Catherine Styron, a technician for Dr. Goodall, will become the bride of John Stone, on June 18 at the W’^atts Street Baptist Church. Catherine’s fiance will com])lete his work in civil engineering in June. Dr. Goodall, his wife and two chil dren, are settled in tlieir home at 152 Pinecrest Road. Dr. and Mrs. Wayland Hull are the j)arents of a new son, Brian, born March 13. The Hulls have two other children, Jeffrey, nine, and Nancy, tw’o and a half.—Sue Gaines. Susan Upchurch, formerly of Sur gical Pathology, is now to be seen greeting and assisting patients at the Surgical PDC desk. Travel Notes: Helen Blackley, Secretary in Neu rosurgery, has just returned fi’om a visit to her sister in Petersburg, Va. Bertha Rankin, Secretary to Dr. Lenox Baker of Orthopaedics, is en joying a trip to St. Petersburg and Pensacola, Fla., with her husband, Dick, who is an assistant resident on KENT.—Southern. X-Ray Department The North Caroliiui Society of X-Ray Technicians held its annual convention in Winston-Salem March 11 and 12. The following student technicians from Duke attended: Misses Shirley Bailey, Lois Gift’en, Ruth Sigmon, and Betty Crum])ler. Miss Libby Ross, Miss Peggy S])ain- hower and John li. Cahoon, staff technicians at Duke, also attended. Friday afternoon was devoted to a scientific program by students representing the six A.M.A. approved training schools in X-ray Technology of North Carolina. Miss Bailey of Duke won first prize. .Joe Waller, a transfer student from Duke to J5ow- man-Gray, won second prize. A banquet and dance were lield Saturday night. Bill Barbour, former student of Duke, now at Camj) Butner Hospital was elected delegate to the National Convention in Boston to be held May 29.—Mrs. Barbara Cannada. Ob-Gyn Department Dr. Walter L. Thomas is recover ing from an operation, and is getting along very nicely. We are looking forward to seeing him back at work soon. “Rusty” Hedderly, Dr. Violet Turner’s secretarj% is also recovering from a knee o])cration. It is good to have her back. We lost Dr. W. Ru])ert Iverr in March, who has gone to Houston, Texas, to enter private practice with his father. Both Dr. and Mrs. Kerr will be missed by all. The newest bridegroom is Dr. Walter Cherny. They have one daugh ter eighteen months old.
