The Department is pleased to re
port that three foreign nurses are
presently on the staff for a six-month
period under the Exchange Visitors’
Program sponsored by the Interna
tional Council of Nurses. They are:

lach, Mt. Eliza, Victoria, Australia,
graduates of the School of Nursing of
Koyal Melbourne Hospital, sponsored
by the Koyal Australian Nursing
Federation.
Surgery
We are all glad to have Mr. Eobert
G. Berry as Dr. Hart’s new Admin
istrative Assistant. He was gradu
ated recently from the School of Busi
ness Administration at Carolina, and
succeeds Mr. B. A. Grubbs who has
accepted a position in Port Clinton,
Ohio.
Dr. Frank Morris of the Plastic
Division is now in private practice in
Texas.
We welcome Dr. Ernest Sundaram
from India who is doing research
work in the Thoracic Division; Vir
ginia Jordan of Durham, the new sec
retary in the Urology Division, re
placing Mrs. Cynthia Fuqua; and
Gladys Smith of Durham, secretarial

Pathology
Dr. Anna Ottolenghi joined the
Neuropathology staff in January as a
Research Associate. She comes to us
from the Neurosurgery Department
at the Veterans’ Hospital, Durhan^^
Psychiatry
Dr. Marian L. Rhame has finished
his residency here and is now sta
tioned at the Travis Air Force Base
Hospital, Fairfield, California.
New research assistants in the De
partment are Mrs. Linda E. Harlan,
Jane Bass, and Andrew J. Presto. We
have three new secretaries, Mrs. Jac
queline Westfall, Gail Hall, and Mrs.
Louise Rochelle.
Dr. Philip Nelson and Dr. Karla
Walter Nelson have resigned from the
staff and moved to Greenville, North
(Carolina. Dr. Philip Nelson is now
the Director of the Mental Health
C’linic there.

the staff as Compensation and Liabili
