Wedding Bells Frances Adkins, Private Medical Laboratory, was married December 17 to William Arthur Gay, Jr. Jean Downs, Physical Therapy, be came the bride of William Patton, lINC medical student, on December 20. They are living in Carrboro, N. C. Ruth Royster, Medical Records, was married December 23 to Everett Rogers of Durham. Sandra Smith, Medical Records, be came engaged to Ted Huffstetler of Cramertou, N. 0., on December 24. Janet Ketner, Dr. Lawton Smith’s secretary, will be married in March to Dr. William Hunter. Rosie Bishop, secretary to the sur gical residents, will be married this summer to Robert Hagan of the Air Force. Pat Breedlove, secretary to the surgical residents, wdll be married this sunnner to Raymond Peeler. New Faces and Old Private Medical Laboratory Rita Dukes returns in February. She has been on leave of absence for several months following the birth of lier daughter. During her ab sence Pat Cahow, former Duke tech nician and wife of University Regis trar Cahow, has worked with us. Newest member of tlie staff is Beth \\'iughan of Raleigh, a graduate of Wheaton College. Physical Therapy At diinier in the Old Trinity Room of the Student Union on December 5 certificates were awarded by Dr. Lenox Baker and Miss Helen Kaiser to the nine members of the 1960 phys ical therapy class: John Garber, Betty Jo Harrell, Joan Misiewicz, Su san Richards, William Sims, Edwin Stewart, Antonia Tartaglia, Deanelle Threadgill, and Ada Sue Loftis. Dr. Jack J. Preiss, Department of Sociol ogy, spoke on “The Professional Margin.” Medical Records Medical Records welcomes Eliza- betli Corcoran, R. R. L., back to our staff. Surgical P. D. C. Mrs. Janet Pilkington, R.N., and her husband left January 13 for Fort Monmouth, New Jersey, where her husband will be in service for six months. Mrs. Riith Parrish of Butner, N. C., is now employed as a technician in S. P. D. C. Lab. Mrs. M. D. Wetmore has been in the hospital, but is now able to be back at work. Two new addresses: Mr. H. 1). May nard, Jr., Assistant Business Man ager, has moved to a new home at 2718 McDowell Street; Mrs. Helen Waller, R.N., is now settled in her new home, Route 1, Erwin Road. Duke Hospital Durham, N. C.
