Sound track purchased witli Auxiliary funds will make this teaching j)rogram more effective. Auxiliary Projects The Duke Hospital Auxiliary believes its true “excuse for being” is to reiuler service. Only secondarily should its efforts go to fund raising. As Auxiliary activity has grown, however, its income producing abilit.y has increased witliout detriment to the service aspect of Auxil iary work. This year the Auxiliary is able to allocate $10,000 for the support of seven hospital j)rojects: Purchase of an Aquamatic Thernud Unit Purchase of a TV set for the Clinical Research Unit Purchase of equipment and supplies for the In-Teaching Program Purchase of sound track for Pre-Natal Clinic teaching program Contribution to the Florence K. The new unit is a plastic sheet through which water can be circulated.
