Tlie admission and discharfjre re
ports are followed by a eheck-otf
system related to the dates of admis
sion and discharfje. The information
received enables insurance depart
ment yiersonnel to carry out promptly
and accurately the notice and claim
procedures. The savinr feature in-
lierent in the use of tlie record form
is that one doctor’s report per patient
reportiuff health coverage "ives medi
cal detail for the dual coverage in the
usual contract—hospital plus profes
sional benefits—and also serves for
use in completion of the multiple
claims presented by many patients.
The interest and guidance of the
admini.strative and professional staff
has sparked increased enthusiasm in
the insurance department in this
])hase of responsibility and service to
patients.
