Mrs. Susie Hunt, Audiologist, re cently resigned, a son, January 12. WEDDING BELLS On December 22, Patsy Lindsay, Duke physical therapy student, was married in Duke University Chapel to John Kirkpatrick Thompson. Also, on December 22, Eleanor Vaughn, Hospital Business Office, and Glenn Max Matthews were married in Puller Memorial Presbyterian Church. NEW FACES AND OLD Private Medical Laboratory Mrs. Betsy Brinson came to work as secretary January 2. She replaces Ann Yergan who left January 31 to have a baby. Betsy’s husbnd, Oscar, entered Carolina law school February 1. Surgery Barbara Brantly replaces Drew Montague in Urology Clinic. Welcome to two new interns in the Surgical Secretarial Pool: Doris Rogers and Louise Lineberry. Peggy Gaston Wiseman, our new Audiologist, is a Vanderbilt graduate with an M.A. from the same institu tion. We welcome a new assistant resi dent in plastic surgery, Dr. Thomas R. Giblin. Alice Broughton, secretary in the Dean’s Office, has left. Pediatrics Marie Keith joined the department December 17. She had worked pre viously in pathologj". Medical Record Library We are happy to be in our new quarters and to welcome two new em ployees to the microfilm department: Joyce Cheek and Sandra Galbraith. Outpatient Department Welcome to some “new faces”: Mrs. Joan Vanetta, interviewer, OPD registration; Mrs. Olivia Lloyd, OPD business office; and Mrs. Ruth Anne Moffatt, interviewer and assistant supervisor, OPD registration. Psychiatry Dr. James L. Elmore, Jr., reported in January as a new resident. He came to Durham from Memphis, Tennessee. Patsy Patterson and Maxine Staley have rotated to psychiatry as secre tarial interns. Mrs. Annie Mae Elterich is our new receptionist in the PDC area. Mrs. Carolyn Barber and Mrs. Caro lyn Roberts have joined the secretarial staff. Physical Therapy Graduation exercises for the 1961- 62 class were held December 3 in the Old Trinity Room. Miss Kaiser and Dr. Frank Clippinger presented cer tificates to Shelah Duffy, Anona Estes, Katherine Le Guin, Sharon Noack, Pat Peinhardt, Betty Ramsey, Char lene Rotha, Prances Sawtelle, Ann Thompson, and David Vaughn. Prizes for the best paper went to Miss Le- Guin; honorable mention to Mr. Vaughn. After 17 months in this country as a foreign trainee in physical therapy at Duke, Barbara Burgin has re turned to her home in Switzerland. Duke Hospital Durham, N. C.
