At a testimonial dinner, a portrait of Dr. Clarence E. Gardner, retiring cliairman of the Department of Sur gery, was presented to the Kniversity by his former residents. The De])artment of Psychiatry presented a portrait of Dr. Leslie B. Hohman to the Medical Center. Dr. Iloh- man retii'ed in 1960, but has continued active in both teaehinp: and practice since that time. At the annual meeting of the “Nick” Carter Travel (’lub, a dinner honoring Dr. and Mrs. Carter was cli maxed by the ])resentation of tlie E. Bayard ('arter Obstetrical and Gynecological Fund which will suj)port an endow'ed chair in the department. Dr. Carter has re tired as chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Jane Kelly, MPDC lab, married Penn Craver on August 8. Peini is a law student at L.N.C. Jeanne Steinson, of the microfilm section of the record library, was married on October 21 to Sidney Burnette who works in the depart ment of microbiology and immuuol- ogy.
