Mr. Harvey Jacobs is now in the Depart ment of Anesthesia (he was formerly in the Private Medical Lab), and Barbara Sue Tucker has moved from Nursing Service to MOPC as registrar. Congratulations on the following promotions! Marilyn Parker is now assistant head nurse on Cabell and Mary Lee Bowling is as sistant head nurse on Meyer. Marjorie Hemphill is head nurse on McDowell, Louise Dise is head nurse on Halsted and Marilyn Stancil is head nurse in OR. Lynn Miller is acting supervisor on Psychi atry. • MERGERS . . . Linda Long, receptionist in Physical Therapy, was married on August 7 to Michael Dixon. Tuppen Heen, a Physical Therapy trainee from Norwaj', and Gleb Bourianoff were married on Sep tember 1. Virginia Draughon, formerly of the Compensation and Liability Office, wed Webster Spicher on September 4 and is now living in Raleigh. Nancy Rudicil Carmichael, who worked in the cashier’s office of SPDC, and Leonard Wayne Terrell were married on July 10 and have moved to Greenville, N. C. Nancy is the daughter of Mrs. William Ray Rudicil, secretary on McDowell. The marriage of Brenda L. Tilley of the Business Office to James Thomas Emory took place on Saturday, September 4, in Hills borough. Shirley June Markee, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. J. E. Markee, was married on August 21 to Arnold St.J. Lee in Pittsburg. Both will continue their work in the Department of Anesthesiology at Colum bia University School of Medicine. Mrs. Carolyn Evans of Medical Records Library and Johnny Hamilton were married during the summer. On July 31 in Chapel Hill, Mary Jane Mordan, Associate Professor of Nursing, was married to John Calvin Burch. Martha Mays, Department of Medicine, and Dennis Kennedy were wed on August 27 in Atlanta. The Department of Pathology has three mar riages to announce; Joanne Harmon to John F. Brusanti on August 28; Mary Ann Lewis to Neal Andrews on September 4; and Susan M. Bardin to Dr. Donald James Kroe on August 31. Cupid has been busy among the nurses, too. The following recent weddings have taken place: Rosalee Armstrong, R.N, on Holmes, to Alan Davidson on August 10; Jeanne Caroner, R.N. in OR, to Bertram Coffer; Sharon Parrish, R.N. in Premature Nursery, to David Oldfield on September 4; Sarah Jones, R.N. on Prevost, to Hugh A. Taylor on August 28; Joy Beattie, Hanes Ward Clerk, to Prank Wilkes on August 28; Janie Harper, L.P.N. on Drake, to Clyde Ellis. • DIVIDENDS . . . Baby girls have arrived at the following homes: Dr. and Mrs. Maurice Courie, OB-GYN; Pauline and Cecil Carden, Printing Department; Dr. Kay Lewis, Pediatrics; Dr. and Mrs. E.
