The Hospital Prepares for Christmas
with Christmas but a few days away, It is apparent
that the weeks of preparation for this Joyous holiday
season has instilled in each of us a truly measureable
"spirit" which can be sensed in the way in which each
of us goes about his various appointed tasks in the
direct or indirect rendering of patient care in the
Medical Center.
Jackie Leach decorates a Christinas tree on Strudwick Ward
for the enjoyment of her patients and fellow workers.
Employees combine forces to organize Christmas parties.

Ellie Timmerman, research technician in the Dept, of
Medicine, plays the angel and Dr. Harvey Sage, Assis
tant Professor in Biochemistry and Pathology plays the
second shepherd in the Durham Theatre Guild's Christmas
production, "The Second Shepherds Play;" Betty Martin
in the Dept, of Surgery is Technical Directof, Susan
Cornwell in Data Processing is Lighting Technician, and
Elaine Spalding in Public Relations is Asst, to Director.

Business as usual in OR over the holidays, but the
staff holds fast to the spirit of Christmas. It must
be something df a surprise to the patients who roll
down the halls past candy canes, stuffed stockings
and cotton snowmen.
